The club participated in a big way at the inaugural Maker Faire in Syracuse on Saturday, April 2, 2022. The organizers estimated that approximately 1200 people attended the event which ran from 10am to 4pm. Our booth was 20' x 30' and provided demonstrations on carving, scrolling, turning, and inlay. To support those demonstrations, we brought one of the club lathes (with shield), the club scroll saw, and the club mini-workbench. The carvers brought their tools of choice. We had a table of touchables as well as displays with a variety of different projects from all of our demonstrators. All of our demonstrators had a great time! We met many new people. Saw many old friends. And watched as young people explored woodworking with us.
