​Beads of Courage is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and teens coping with serious illness, their families, and the clinicians who care for them. Children being treated for life-threatening illnesses are given beads as they undergo a variety of treatments. Boxes are one of the vessels in which they keep their beads.

    The Syracuse Joslin Diabetes Center contacted the club requesting that our members make boxes for distribution to kids undergoing treatment for diabetes at the Center. They are looking for boxes of any type whether turned, scrolled, carved, or assembled using traditional woodworking. Members are encouraged to build and donate one or more boxes to fill the Center’s urgent needs. ​

As of June 1, 2024, our members donated 53 boxes of varying styles to the Center!
