A Maker Faire is a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker Movement. It is a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning. A state-wide virtual Maker Faire occurred on October 16-17. Ed Siegel conducted a demonstration on turning a bowl on Saturday as part of this inaugural Faire. A Syracuse Maker Faire is expected to occur on April 17, 2021 at the SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College. The Woodworkers of Central New York are considering whether they will participate should the event occur.
