Virtual Symposiums / Shows
American Association of Woodturners Virtual Symposium - The AAW will hold a second 2021 virtual symposium on Saturday, November 6th and Sunday, November 7th. More details to follow. Visit the AAW webpage for more details HERE.
Woodturners Worldwide Online Symposium is over for 2020. The organizer, Matthew Deighton indicated that he plans on holding another in January 2022. Association of Woodturners of Great Britain - Website of the AWGB. They are holding online chat sessions twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday evenings at 7:30pm (British time). Their Sunday demonstrations are on hold for now as they are supporting the demos by Chestnut.
Northwest Woodworking Studio - A School for Woodworkers with Master Woodworker Gary Rogowski - A variety of traditional seminars on a vareity of traditional woodworking skills. Gary is moving as many of his in-person classes to an online format also and has a variety of podcasts available on his website.
Virtual Woodturning Demonstrations - Website managed by Trent Bosch dedicated to virtual demos. You can register for any that are offered as well as connect to archived demonstrations.
Woodcarving Academy- Website that brings together videos, demonstrations, etc. from different excellent wood carvers for easy access to all. A subscription fee gives access to all videos but there are several areas of the website that do not require a sign-in.
Woodsmith Seminars - Website from Woodsmith magazine that summarizes Live seminars being held by various experts. You can process payments for individual seminars here or purchase a yearly pass as well as see what seminars are being held. Live seminars include the ability to ask questions.
The Woodwright's School - Roy Underhill's school in Peterboro, NC is now offering Zoom classes. Classes go fast so you need to check back regularly to see what is available. The first session on Dovetails sold out quite quickly!
