NEWLY ORGANIZED! As of September 22, 2021, the Galleries were reorganized by year. This page continues to be updated with links to each gallery.
SPECIAL PROJECT GALLERY: Check out the Renovating a Grave Marker gallery for photos and a story about how a few club members helped out with renovating a WOODEN grave marker.
Members of the Woodworkers of Central New York create some incredible projects. The projects may be focused in one of the unique genres we embrace or they may cross platforms. Members are encouraged to bring their projects to meetings for Show & Tell sessions to share with their fellow attendees. At the Woodturners meetings, members also compete in a Monthly Challenge where they create a project generally based on the previous month's demonstration.
Due to Covid-19, many members are working on more projects as they remain in their "bubble". Sometimes, those projects are shown during the monthly Show & Tell. When not, they are sent for inclusion in our Virtual Show & Tell area. We add those projects with their stories regularly. Our members are so busy that we have five (5) pages in our Virtual Show & Tell. Link to all the Galleries below.
Each month's photos are included in the monthly newsletter. We are very proud of our members and the work they create. So, we've created this gallery to showcase the projects. Use the links to connect to pages of each month's projects shown by the members at the month of meetings.
In addition to showing projects at monthly meetings, members also take their pieces to other events around the country. It may be the annual Showcase/Totally Turning event in Saratoga Springs, the AAW Symposium, or the New York State Fair. Members also donate projects for our annual raffles held during the New York State Fair as well as for sales that benefit various children's charities in Central New York and other causes
NOTE: This is an ongoing project to add images to the website. If there are errors or changes need to be made to any caption associated with the photos, please send updates to [email protected]. Be sure to tell us what month, what group, and give a description of the photo.
