Bob Henry cut this beautiful tiger from maple plywood and finished it with lacquer. The backer board is painted plywood.

Doug North carved out some shop time to turn and finish this 15" ash platter. The rim is finished with aniline dye mixed with alcohol and gold gilding way.

Kyla Town turned this decorated "forget-me-not" rolling pin as a gift for her best friend. The body is cherry with food-safe resin and non-toxic colored pencil flowers. The handles are maple. She finished the entire project with shellac.

Barbara Raymond-LaPrease is balancing time between the computer and the shop. These are some of her recent ornaments, some with colored pencil enhancements.

Charlie LaPrease has a friend that needed a top for his large toolbox (85" long x 22" deep). Charlie used ash milled and air dried at Eight Acres to create the top with a breadboard end. Below are process photos.

Gary Kieffer sends along these photos of recently completed knife blocks. He made 4 of these for Christmas. Typically, he and his wife gives a knife set and a block as a wedding present. These are all cherry. He finishes them with George's Club House Wax - a finish not well known to our members. He kindly sent photos of the jar.

Bill Shea recently built a cabinet in which he will store his saw blades. The cabinet fits inside an auxiliary storage area he built for under his table saw extension. Note the small drawer pulls to make it easier to open each drawer.

Arlene Schlueter recently completed this carving on a bark slab for a client. The client asked that it look like the North Carolina shore. She loves shore birds so Arlene added a basswood carved bird. She used watercolors as the paint.
